I am Catherine Houriez, a painter and illustrator, based between Paris and Normandy.

 

I create colorful worlds, between reality and imagination, populated by gardens, characters, and scenes of life. I paint mainly with gouache, playing with colors, shapes, and compositions to give birth to vivid, graphic, and whimsical images.

 

After several years dedicated to textile design and pattern creation, I am now opening my practice more to painting and illustration. My work is available as paintings, illustrations, and patterns, with the desire to bring color and imagination into our interiors and our daily lives.
